About the role
The Manager, Regional Clinical Informatics collaborates with Directors and Medical Informatics to implement, support, and optimize clinical informatics, Caring Reliably framework, IS strategy, and other organizational commitments. They partner with clinical and physician leaders to manage staff performance in informatics initiatives, focusing on IT and services to support nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in practice, clinical applications, decision-making, research, quality improvement, education, and resource management.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Directors and Medical Informatics to implement, support, and optimize clinical informatics, Caring Reliably framework, IS strategy, and other organizational commitments.
- Partner with clinical and physician leaders to manage staff performance in informatics initiatives, focusing on IT and services to support nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in practice, clinical applications, decision-making, research, quality improvement, education, and resource management.
- Communicate with all levels and manage shifting priorities, accountable for deliverables.
- Manage and execute strategic plans for highly complex issues, demonstrating strong experience in clinical practice, clinical informatics, and management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Informatics, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or related healthcare field or equivalent education/experience.
- 6 years of strong experience in clinical practice, clinical informatics, and management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues.
- Able to communicate with all levels and manage shifting priorities and accountable for deliverables.
- 4 years of experience in clinical or IT functional management in comparable organizations, including financial and supervisory accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing, Informatics, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or related healthcare field (or degree in process).
- Epic Certification in one or more applications upon hire.
- Informatics certifications or credentialing (may be equivalent for up to 2 years of experience for this position at the hiring manager’s discretion) upon hire.
- 3 years of experienced in all areas of program and project management including multiple project integration and process/workflow redesign.
