Manager Clinical Informatics - System Operations, Hybrid
About the role
The Manager, Regional Clinical Informatics collaborates with Directors and Medical Informatics to implement, support, and optimize clinical informatics, Caring Reliably framework, IS strategy, and other organizational commitments. They partner with clinical and physician leaders to manage staff performance in informatics initiatives, focusing on IT and services supporting nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in practice, applications, decision-making, research, quality improvement, education, and resource management.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Directors and Medical Informatics to implement, support, and optimize clinical informatics, Caring Reliably framework, IS strategy, and other organizational commitments.
- Partner with clinical and physician leaders to manage staff performance in informatics initiatives, focusing on IT and services supporting nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in practice, applications, decision-making, research, quality improvement, education, and resource management.
- Communicate with all levels and manage shifting priorities, accountable for deliverables.
- Manage clinical or IT functional management in comparable organizations, including financial and supervisory accountability.
- Represent the information and knowledge needs and requirements of healthcare professionals and patients, promoting safe, effective, and efficient use of information technology in clinical settings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Informatics, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or related healthcare field or equivalent education/experience.
- 6 years of strong experience in clinical practice, clinical informatics, and management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues.
- Able to communicate with all levels and manage shifting priorities and accountable for deliverables.
- 4 years of experience in clinical or IT functional management in comparable organizations, including financial and supervisory accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Informatics, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or related healthcare field (or degree in process).
- Master's degree in Nursing, Informatics, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or related healthcare field (or degree in process).
- Required certifications or credentials (may be equivalent for up to 2 years of experience for this position at the hiring manager’s discretion).
Skills
- Knowledge of patient care, informatics concepts, and change management.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
