About the role

The Clinical Applications Manager provides daily oversight, operation, and supervision of clinical application staff at Nihon Kohden. Key success factors include overall quality and satisfaction of staff and clients, ensuring that goals and key indicators for success are met.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for field employee assessments and yearly evaluations to include performance improvement strategies and goal setting.
  • Responsible for approving Clinical Application staff expense reporting, ensuring compliance with company policy.
  • Responsible for daily/weekly/as needed communication with Clinical Application staff regarding issue resolution, daily operations, and addressing needs of staff while in the field.
  • Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing staff schedules to ensure that client needs are met.
  • Collaborates with Director of Clinical Applications and Education to recruit, interview, and select appropriate talent for inclusion of team.
  • Coordinates and oversees orientation and training for new Clinical Application team members, including final evaluation to ensure readiness for independent function in field situations.
  • Remains clinically knowledgeable and competent and maintains current unencumbered nursing licensure.
  • Active participation in regular status update calls with Director of Clinical Applications and Education.
  • Responsible for customer and sales requests regarding training needs or inquiries, in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Applications and Education.
  • Performs Clinical Application Specialist role as required for training, education, and workload management.
  • Provides mentorship and coaching to all team members on an ongoing basis to ensure quality and consistency throughout team.
  • Selects, manages, develops, and holds accountable team members to meet department deliverables and responsibilities.
  • Completes company people management requirements. Exhibits manager competencies.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Qualifications

  • Education / Certification / Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in nursing; Master’s degree in nursing or leadership preferred. Must possess a valid unrestricted nursing license issued within the U.S. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. 5+ years of experience in critical care. 2+ years of experience of people management experience, including driving results through others, leading teams or projects, and providing training. Thorough understanding of monitoring systems and products in the clinical setting required; knowledge and experience with Nihon Kohden products preferred.
  • Competencies Required: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and presents a professional image with above-average customer service skills are required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are paramount. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret equipment manuals, general business periodicals or professional journals. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the organization. Ability to effectively use technology to present information to customers. Working knowledge of Windows PC’s, proficiency in Microsoft Outlook email applications, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Office programs. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Pay

The anticipated range for this position is $105,000 - $155,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.

Schedule

The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company’s discretion.

Access to Customer Sites

It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including for COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites.
