Manager Category Management
Job Overview
As a Category Manager West Food (Wholesale), you will serve as a key contributor within the Sales – Category Leadership organization, partnering with internal teams and external wholesale customers to drive category growth. This role plays a critical part in developing and executing category strategies that deliver topline sales, strengthen Hershey’s market position, and create value for our customers across the U.S.
Accountabilities
- Act as the category expert to support execution of the strategic business plan, delivering against sales, net revenue, and share targets
- Leverage tools and data sources (Circana/IRI, Numerator, and shopper insights) to inform category strategies and recommendations
- Synthesize retailer, syndicated, and internal data into actionable insights and compelling category stories
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and wholesale partners to align on initiatives and drive results
- Lead category reviews and develop planograms using JDA to unlock incremental growth opportunities
- Support distribution and merchandising strategies that achieve corporate and channel objectives
- Enhance analytics capabilities, including development of PowerBI tools to accelerate insights and decision-making
Minimum Education & Requirements
- Experience:
- 2–5 years of Category Management, CPG Sales, or related experience
- Experience working with or supporting retail/wholesale customers preferred
- Strong analytical, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels
