About the role

As the Calibration Lab Manager, you will be at the heart of our laboratory operations, providing leadership and collaborating across the Division to achieve strategic objectives and exceed customer expectations. Working second shift, Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., your day will be filled with diverse responsibilities, from overseeing calibration and repair production to ensuring rental equipment readiness and offering technical expertise to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of talented technicians, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards.
  • Manage the development and implementation of objectives, policies, procedures, processes, and systems within your area of responsibility.
  • Monitor Laboratory and Division performance by analyzing relevant data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing necessary changes.
  • Resolve technical matters and interpret policies, procedures, and standards to ensure smooth operations.
  • Uphold ISO 9001 QMS certification and ISO/IEC 17025 calibration laboratory accreditation.
  • Incorporate continuous improvement, maximizing customer satisfaction and Lean principles into all aspects of planning, decision making, and execution.
  • Work towards achieving Company, Division, and Department financial objectives.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of company and customer information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of electrical metrology experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience.
  • A successful track record of leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Strong analytical skills, decisiveness, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to lead and manage autonomously.
  • Proven ability to execute in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Adept at interpreting internal and external quality/calibration requirements, specifications, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994, and ANSI/NCSLI Z540.3-2006.
  • Proficiency with software systems.
  • Inherently customer-centric approach.
  • Occasional travel required.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in an electronic or engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Military PMEL training is a plus.

Schedule
