Key Responsibilities
- Willingness to work by own hand
- Perform and supervise calibration of flow meters using NABL-approved methods.
- Validate calibration procedures and maintain uncertainty budgets as per GUM.
- Ensure traceability to national/international standards and maintain NABL scope integrity.
- Implement and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management System.
- Prepare and manage NABL documentation (Quality Manual, SOPs, Uncertainty Calculations).
- Cookordination internal audits, management reviews, ILC and proficiency testing.
- Handle nonconformities, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
- Act as key contact during NABL assessments and ensure closure of audit findings.
- Prepare and present audit evidence: calibration records, uncertainty budgets, traceability certificates, and environmental monitoring data.
- Communicate regularly with overseas technical teams for method validation and global best practices.
- Facilitate training and knowledge transfer from overseas experts to local team
- Train team members on NABL requirements, uncertainty evaluation, and safety protocols.
- Provide technical support for calibration requirements and troubleshooting.
- Improve to process, turnaround time and optimize flow rig utilization
- Development of calibration rig parts locally
- Perform periodical checks
- Perform yearly calibration of instruments mounted on the rigs.
Qualifications
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation/Electronic/Electrical/Mechnical or equivalent.
- Experience: 10–15+ years in flow metrology/calibration with NABL and ISO/IEC 17025 exposure to handling and managing document, records, audits, etc.
- Certifications: ISO/IEC 17025 auditor training.
Technical Expertise
- Advanced knowledge of flow measurement principles and installation effects.
- Proficiency in uncertainty analysis (Type A/Type B), drift studies, and MSA.
- Hands-on experience with calibration rigs, DAQ systems, and calibration management software.
- Familiarity with NABL documentation and audit processes.
- Ability to work in a global technical environment and coordinate across time zones.
