Key Responsibilities

  • Willingness to work by own hand
  • Perform and supervise calibration of flow meters using NABL-approved methods.
  • Validate calibration procedures and maintain uncertainty budgets as per GUM.
  • Ensure traceability to national/international standards and maintain NABL scope integrity.
  • Implement and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management System.
  • Prepare and manage NABL documentation (Quality Manual, SOPs, Uncertainty Calculations).
  • Cookordination internal audits, management reviews, ILC and proficiency testing.
  • Handle nonconformities, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
  • Act as key contact during NABL assessments and ensure closure of audit findings.
  • Prepare and present audit evidence: calibration records, uncertainty budgets, traceability certificates, and environmental monitoring data.
  • Communicate regularly with overseas technical teams for method validation and global best practices.
  • Facilitate training and knowledge transfer from overseas experts to local team
  • Train team members on NABL requirements, uncertainty evaluation, and safety protocols.
  • Provide technical support for calibration requirements and troubleshooting.
  • Improve to process, turnaround time and optimize flow rig utilization
  • Development of calibration rig parts locally
  • Perform periodical checks
  • Perform yearly calibration of instruments mounted on the rigs.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation/Electronic/Electrical/Mechnical or equivalent.
  • Experience: 10–15+ years in flow metrology/calibration with NABL and ISO/IEC 17025 exposure to handling and managing document, records, audits, etc.
  • Certifications: ISO/IEC 17025 auditor training.

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced knowledge of flow measurement principles and installation effects.
  • Proficiency in uncertainty analysis (Type A/Type B), drift studies, and MSA.
  • Hands-on experience with calibration rigs, DAQ systems, and calibration management software.
  • Familiarity with NABL documentation and audit processes.
  • Ability to work in a global technical environment and coordinate across time zones.
