Norbar Torque Tools, a member of the Snap-on Incorporated family of companies, is seeking a calibration lab specialist to join our team. This position will assist and aid in all calibration activities performed at Norbar US.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibrations in an efficient and correct manner in accordance with ISO 17025.
- Properly inspect all customer equipment to ensure its accurate performance and safety standards are met.
- Review and seek approval to report any deviations.
- Maintain the work process flow.
- Work with the Calibration Lab Specialist on ensuring the in-house equipment is calibrated according to the assigned calibration cycle.
- Assist in the calibration scheduling to minimize turnaround time.
- Support bi-yearly audits and compliance assessments by preparing and partnering with the Calibration Lab Specialist, Lab Manager, and Quality Manager.
- Partner with inter-departments: Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service.
- Address, investigate, and document any customer complaints.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality control activities.
- Be an active participant in driving the service department's revenue.
- Partner with the Calibration Lab Specialist and Lab Manager to ensure the Quality Manual is up to date and in compliance with the ISO 17025 requirements.
- Maintain a professional and problem-solving mentality when addressing customer inquiries and/or issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 1–3 years of experience in a calibration, electronics, or technical lab environment.
- Basic understanding of torque tools and electronic measurement principles.
- Ability to follow detailed technical procedures with accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to work independently without regular supervision.
- Proficiency with hand tools, test equipment, and computer-based calibration software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Adaptable to change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with torque calibration devices and systems.
- Associate’s degree or technical training in Electronics, Metrology, or related field.
- Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited lab.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and lab management software.
- Basic understanding of measurement uncertainty and traceability concepts.
Pay
$20-$30 per hour
