Manager Business Services: Business Service-Managed Care
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversight of billing, collections, cash management, regulatory compliance, and long-term strategy for Patient Financial Services.
- Management of department supervisors and billing staff, including performance management.
- Training of patient accounting and managed care staff.
- Focus on collections of Medicare, Work Compensation, group insurance, and private pay accounts.
- Serving as a point of escalation for complaints and issues.
- Use of monthly statistical reports to identify progress and trends with credit balances, aged accounts, and overall account status.
- Standardizing and streamlining processes for efficiencies to improve revenues.
- Supporting the business office and hospital mission.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business or Hospital Administration or related field, or equivalent years of service within scope of Revenue Cycle required.
- Experience with California collection law and insurance billing regulations required.
- Experience in Patient Financial Services.
- No licenses required.
