Manager Business Services: Business Service-Managed Care

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversight of billing, collections, cash management, regulatory compliance, and long-term strategy for Patient Financial Services.
• Management of department supervisors and billing staff, including performance management.
• Training of patient accounting and managed care staff.
• Focus on collections of Medicare, Work Compensation, group insurance, and private pay accounts.
• Serving as a point of escalation for complaints and issues.
• Use of monthly statistical reports to identify progress and trends with credit balances, aged accounts, and overall account status.
• Standardizing and streamlining processes for efficiencies to improve revenues.
• Supporting the business office and hospital mission.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business or Hospital Administration or related field, or equivalent years of service within scope of Revenue Cycle required.
• Experience with California collection law and insurance billing regulations required.
• Experience in Patient Financial Services.
• No licenses required.
• No certifications required.
