Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to grow AKAM's market share throughout New York City.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new management opportunities for condominiums, cooperatives, and homeowners' associations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with board members, developers, attorneys, engineers, architects, lenders, and other industry influencers.
  • Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, industry events, cold outreach, and strategic partnerships.
  • Represent AKAM at industry conferences, trade associations, networking events, and educational seminars.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospective clients and provide accurate forecasting through CRM reporting.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to develop competitive strategies.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure smooth transitions from signed contracts through onboarding.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed established revenue and new business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of business development, sales, or client relationship experience within property management, real estate, commercial real estate services, or related industries.
  • Existing network within the NYC condominium, cooperative, and residential real estate market strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, negotiating, and closing complex service agreements.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

Preferred Experience

  • Property management or HOA/Condominium management industry experience.
  • Knowledge of New York City residential real estate and cooperative/condominium governance.
  • Experience responding to RFPs and preparing executive-level presentations.
  • Active participation in industry organizations such as CAI, CNYC, NYARM, REBNY, or BOMA.
