Manager Burn Therapy
About the role
The Clinical Manager Rehab Therapy assists the Director with day-to-day clinical operations of the Physical Medicine Department while also remaining involved in direct patient care. He/she ensures that patient care is provided according to policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. The Manager is responsible for staffing a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care/service and assures the qualifications and competence of those staff members meet the needs of patient care services. The Manager also provides orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in their department, continuously assesses and improves their department’s performance, and maintains appropriate quality control programs.
Responsibilities
- Affirm patient care according to policies and procedures
- Staff a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care/service
- Assure the qualifications and competence of staff members meet the needs of patient care services
- Provide orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in their department
- Continuously assess and improve department’s performance
- Maintain appropriate quality control programs
- Oversee the clinical documentation process and compliance with regulations and standards
- Provide input to the Director regarding space/equipment recommendations, budgetary needs, and other resources needed by the department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in rehab related field required
- 3+ years of clinical experience in rehab field required
- Currently licensed as a Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist in the state(s) of practice, in accordance with law and regulation required
- Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) upon hire or within 90 days of hire required
