About the role
The Manager, Therapy Services at St Michael Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of the Rehabilitation Therapy Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Therapy) function. Key responsibilities include ensuring that regional goals for patient care, productivity, customer satisfaction, service growth, and regulatory compliance are met. The role also involves developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives, managing staff, and leading business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Ensures safe and appropriate delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic patient care
- Achieves clinical core measurement scores
- Evaluates work unit activities, productivity, and quality indicators
- Develops, implements, and monitors quality improvement initiatives
- Spearheads efforts to increase market share and achieve reimbursement goals
- Supervises subordinate staff providing physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy services
- Manages and evaluates the operations, programs, and resources of the assigned clinical area/facility
- Plans, manages, and evaluates the work of subordinate supervisors
- Identifies adequate staffing levels and ensures employees are qualified and properly trained
- Plays a role in the development of, and implements new clinical systems/programs
- Produces and presents reports on key performance indicators and other significant benchmarking metrics
- Collaborates with other departments to address and resolve problems
- Works with management team to ensure consistent practices and quality/performance improvement initiatives
- Ensures compliance with relevant internal policies, standards, and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements
- Plans and leads efforts to increase referral base and expand market share
- Pursues meetings with physicians or other referral resources to promote FHS culture, goals, resources, and services
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy and completion of fieldwork, upon hire
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, upon hire
- Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy, upon hire
- Masters Other in Occupational Therapy, upon hire
- Graduation from an accredited School of Physical Therapy, completion of fieldwork, upon hire
- Bachelor's Other in Physical Therapy, upon hire
- Masters Other in Physical Therapy, upon hire
- Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy, upon hire
- Masters Other in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program, upon hire
- Five years of related work experience in a healthcare environment, upon hire
- Two years in a supervisory or management capacity, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Pay
The posted compensation range for this position is $60.24 - $99.39 per hour, reflecting the lowest and highest pay CommonSpirit Health believes it might pay for this role, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is 80 hours per week, with a daily shift of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
