About the role
The Manager, Brand Marketing is responsible for stewarding and executing community marketing strategies that elevate Sesame Workshop's brand and extend its reach through strategic partnerships, ambassador programs, and experiential marketing initiatives. The Manager will support audience engagement, partnership development, community activations, and cross-functional marketing campaigns that drive connections with families, donors, educators, and caregivers to Sesame Workshop's mission and content.
Responsibilities
- Steward and execute Sesame Workshop's strategies to drive impact through existing and to-be-developed communities, identifying scalable opportunities to connect with key audiences, empowering them to support and advocate for Sesame Workshop.
- Develop scalable engagement programs, toolkits, and resources.
- Identify and share audience insights, cultural trends, and emerging opportunities that strengthen Sesame Workshop's brand relevance, inform best practices, and enhance audience engagement.
- Identify, develop, and manage pro-bono and paid partnerships that extend Sesame Workshop's reach through trusted systems, networks, and distribution channels.
- Identify opportunities to leverage existing partner networks to amplify Sesame Workshop campaigns, initiatives, and resources.
- Support the development and execution of Sesame Workshop's brand ambassador program, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and build long-term partnerships.
- Develop recommendations, insights, and best practices to strengthen ambassador engagement and inform future program growth.
- Support the planning and execution of marketing activations, experiences, and partnership initiatives that bring Sesame Workshop's mission, content, brand, and characters to life.
- Help establish repeatable activation models and best practices that can be adapted across campaigns, markets, and initiatives.
- Track and analyze the performance of community marketing initiatives, partnerships, ambassador programs, and activations using audience feedback and key performance metrics.
- Develop case studies, reports, and internal learnings that demonstrate impact and inform future planning.
- Partner closely with other Marketing & Communications functions along with Revenue, Impact Programs, Education, Research, Production, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to support integrated marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate across departments to align partnership, ambassador, and community marketing efforts with broader organizational priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners, agencies, ambassadors, and other external stakeholders.
- Represent Sesame Workshop in meetings and communications with partners and collaborators.
- Contribute to a collaborative, creative, and solutions-oriented marketing culture.
- Manage multiple projects, agency relationships, and cross-functional workflows in a fast-paced environment.
- Bring proactive problem-solving, strong relationship management, and operational excellence to partnership, ambassador, and community marketing initiatives.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, partnership marketing, community engagement, creator marketing, experiential marketing, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Schedule
This position is based at our headquarters office in New York (Manhattan) at 1900 Broadway, New York, NY, and follows a hybrid work model. In-office requirements vary by role and employee group, and currently range from two to five designated in-office days per week.
