Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with the health care team and works to eliminate communication barriers
- Serves as a liaison between providers, families, clinical staff, and ancillary departments to promote high patient, provider, and team member satisfaction
- Makes decisions for staffing effectiveness based on data analysis
- Monitors productivity and aligns staffing resources with patient care needs
- Ensures continuity in the standard of care by participating in hospital-wide committees
- Coaches and develops team members through structured feedback and competency assessments
- Supports the implementation of unit and department goals and communicates the organizational strategic plan to staff
- Ensures that all accrediting agencies’ requirements specific to the department are fulfilled
Skills & Requirements
- Required bachelor's degree in Business category, healthcare administration, behavioral health category, nursing, or applicable program with a preferred master's degree in a behavioral health field, nursing
- Required Licenses/Certifications: RN, LCSW, LPC, LMSW
- Required 3 years' experience with serving patients’ behavioral health needs and a preferred 2 years of behavioral health experience
- Experience managing people preferred
- A master's degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience
- Licenses specific to Behavioral Health such as PMHNP-BC, PMHCNS, PMHS, PMH-BC may substitute for one (1) year of experience
- Knowledge of IOP required
