Manager, Bank Protection Fraud Specialist

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Manager, Bank Protection Fraud Specialist. The Fraud Specialist Manager will lead a team of fraud specialists dedicated to identifying, investigating, and preventing fraudulent activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of fraud detection methodologies. The Fraud Specialist Manager will ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fraud specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Fraud Detection: Oversee the implementation and enhancement of fraud detection systems and processes to identify suspicious activities.Investigation: Direct and support complex fraud investigations, ensuring thorough analysis and documentation. Assist in fraud review queues as necessary.Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on fraud trends, investigations, and outcomes to senior Bank Protection management. Present detailed findings to Fraud Committee on the monthly call. Compliance: Ensure all fraud prevention activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.Training: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the team's skills and knowledge in fraud detection and prevention.Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to coordinate efforts and share insights.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance fraud prevention strategies.Technology: Stay updated on the latest fraud detection technologies and tools, recommending and implementing new solutions as needed.Customer Service: Handle escalated fraud cases with a focus on customer satisfaction and resolution, completing Customer Feedback tickets within the designated SLA. To be successful in this position, we require the following: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).Five (5) years of security, law enforcement, fraud or related experience and two (2) years of management experience.
