About the Role

The Manager of Ambulatory Practice, Cancer Center assumes leadership responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned departments within the cancer center. They work closely with the clinical and administrative director, medical director, staff, and organizational leaders to ensure efficient and effective delivery of cancer services. The role involves managing departmental budgets and daily productivity, implementing operational policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The manager fosters an open, collaborative, and supportive work environment, builds trust, and encourages teamwork while keeping the team focused on common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements processes that assure the viability of existing programs, standardize practice patterns, and optimize physician productivity.
  • Develops key performance indicators to benchmark practice performance.
  • Analyzes patient demand and develops schedules that optimize the use of the practice's resources to meet patient care standards and service expectations.
  • Responsible for overall supervision of Medical Oncology Clinic and Infusion areas.
  • Acts as a liaison between staff, providers, and other departments within the organization.
  • Participates in committees that directly influence the quality of cancer care.
  • Monitors the financial performance of assigned cost centers in collaboration with the Administrative Director of the Cancer Center, ensures compliance with department productivity standards, and assists with budget projections for the fiscal year.
  • Provides human resource management for the area of responsibility, including ensuring appropriate staffing levels and completing performance evaluations as expected.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, initiates process improvement plans to improve patient care, and fosters a healthy work environment.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with the Patient Scheduling and Access team to ensure accurate and timely charge entry, reviews denials promptly, and supports successful charge capture.
  • Develops and implements a dynamic and efficient business infrastructure that allows ongoing integration of all clinical processes.
  • Works collaboratively with cancer center leaders and other leaders to support the mission and vision of Onvida Health.
  • Follows up on all patient complaints to support a positive resolution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license (essential).
  • Bachelor’s Degree (essential).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of supervisory experience.

Pay

The base hiring salary range for this position is $110,545.35 to $176,872.55 annually, with a midpoint of $143,709.03. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as skills and experience. This range is one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered.
