About the role
The Amazon Ecommerce Manager will oversee product and channel strategy, leveraging data-driven insights to make channel decisions that will generate positive KPI results. This role combines commercial management and site experience optimization to drive growth and achieve brand objectives on Amazon.
Responsibilities
- Oversee product & channel strategy, leveraging data-driven insights to make channel decisions that will generate positive KPI results.
- Own a variety of analyses including category performance, activation results, and competitive analyses to help us better optimize our Amazon strategy.
- Develop bottom-up sales and inventory plans, which are used to inform financial and inventory decisions inclusive of product mix, AUR, sell through, and markdowns.
- Manage the logistical process execution for all promotional events and new item setup, including managing the promotional calendar, oversight of set up, testing, and quality assurance.
- Drive CX excellence to increase conversion and engagement, synthesizing key learnings and insights from consumer site behavior and competitors to inform a feedback loop with Marketing and Media teams.
- Analyze KPIs/customer journeys to monitor and maximize effectiveness of both existing features as well as lead new initiatives in partnership with Amazon.
- Lead and implement user & A/B testing to help constantly evolve and optimize the user experience.
- Ongoing maintenance of site experience for brandstore and PDPs including optimization of product titles, descriptions, images, videos, and A+ content.
- Manage SEO + GEO optimization by improving organic search / Alexa Shopping SOV to achieve high ranking and visibility, and align with media team on keyword strategy.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to coordinate the planning for digital marketing activities such as Media, SEO + GEO, Social, Affiliate Marketing, and Merchandising placements on Amazon.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, customer service, demand planning, finance, IT to ensure operational success.
Qualifications
- College Degree
- 3-5 years working in eCommerce roles, including content, site merchandising and commercialization, sales planning, supply chain, finance and experience managing a site is a plus.
- Experience working with retailers (Amazon is ideal but not required).
- Luxury and/or beauty experience preferred.
- Experience working in a “buyer” type role for retail a plus.
- Creative problem solver with the ability to prioritize initiatives and anticipate business needs.
- Ability to build effective partnerships and interact successfully with diverse individuals at all levels.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights and optimizations.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, innovatively, and creatively using sound business judgment and quantitative skills.
