Manager, Activities - FT Days

About the role

The Activities Manager at Good Samaritan is responsible for developing and implementing an activities and volunteers program to assist in maintaining the physical, psychological, and spiritual functions of residents. This role oversees the day-to-day activities of staff and volunteers, implements individualized activity plans, promotes group activities, and maintains a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements activities and volunteers programs to support resident well-being.
• Oversees the day-to-day activities of staff and volunteers.
• Plans and organizes recreational activities for residents.
• Maintains a safe and home-like environment for residents.
• Improves the quality of life through appropriate and meaningful activities.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal requirements.

Requirements

• A degree in occupational therapy, recreational therapy, or completion of a state-approved Activity Coordinator training program.
• Professional manner and appearance, good communication, social, and organizational skills.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Certification in Activities preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) within four months of hire.

Qualifications

• Medical qualification to perform essential driving functions as per Sanford Driving Policy.

Skills

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective activity programs.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.

Pay

Salary range: $40,000 - $50,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week.
