About the role
The Manager of Security oversees the Security Operations for the main campus, immediate surrounding properties, and off-site facilities. Responsibilities include establishing departmental vision, philosophy, objectives, and functions; studying program requirements; developing work standards; and evaluating results.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with TJC, OSHA, AB508, Title 22, and HIPAA regulations.
- Oversees security operations to ensure safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, and assets.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to enhance security measures.
- Manages and trains security personnel to ensure effective response to emergencies and incidents.
- Collaborates with other departments to address security concerns and improve overall safety.
- Maintains current certifications and licenses required for the role.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant healthcare or similar facility security experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience.
- Some experience with Title 22 and other regulatory agency requirements.
- Seven (7) years of healthcare or similar facility experience preferred, some law enforcement or military experience preferred.
- Current Driver’s License issued by State of California.
- Insurable under Huntington’s liability insurance.
- Current CA Guard Card issued by the CA Bureau of Security & Investigative Services (BSIS).
- Current Basic, Advanced, Supervisor and Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) certification issued by International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS).
- Preferred: Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association.

- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay
The estimated base rate for this position is $111,323.00 - $161,419.00. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc.
