Responsibilities
- Supervises Security Supervisors
- Ensures compliance with all casino policies
- Provides leadership and direction to create a safe environment for guests
- Serves as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, morale, motivation, and open communication
- Acts as a role model and coaches employees while developing them using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations
- Endorses the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesar's Entertainment
- Ensures each team member clearly understands and is held accountable for their respective performance expectations
- Directs all activities on the assigned shift
- Maintains compliance with Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency commission regulations and company policies
- Monitors incident reports for accuracy and completeness, and initiates investigation processes
- Maintains the exclusion list and enforces it appropriately
- Is accountable for service goals and objectives as well as customer complaints and claims
- Determines manpower requirements within shift hours and schedules personnel for maximum security coverage with minimal costs
- Administers or supervises the administration of training programs for assigned personnel to ensure effective security
- Counsels, guides, and instructs personnel on proper duty performance
- Cooperates with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
- Investigates or supervises investigations of incidents involving crime, employee misconduct, and issues concerning the welfare of the casino and the surrounding facilities and neighborhood
- Reviews and approves all documents as needed
- Instructs, trains, and monitors officers in numerous daily duties including customer and employee relations, report writing, procedures in handling company funds, and critical incident management
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 5 years of law enforcement experience and/or casino security experience
- 3 years supervisory experience
- Ability to interact professionally with the general public
- Investigation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer and employee relations skills
- Commitment to teamwork among shift personnel
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in critical incidents and employee conflicts
- Able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively
- Well-groomed appearance
- Able to meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental and company policies
- Able to work with all Horseshoe Casino Baltimore departments as required
- Able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
- Able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts
- Able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairs (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel
- Responds to visual and aural cues
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment
- Tolerant of areas containing dust, loud noises, and bright lights
- Able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
Pay
$75,000 Annually
