Our Opportunity A member of the Corporate Controller’s Department, Revenue Accounting is responsible for the financial books and records of Charles Schwab Corporation, and related subsidiaries. Functions of Accounting include recording income statement and balance sheet transactions, general ledger reconciliation, monthly, quarterly, and annual close and analysis, vendor oversight, annual audit coordination, and other ad hoc related financial reporting. What You’ll Do Responsible for maintaining the financial accounting books and records of the parent company and various subsidiariesPrepares and records monthly and quarterly journal entriesProduce accurate and timely management reportingWork closely with business partners in Controllers, business unit operations, and various other internal organizations to ensure timely and accurate recording of business transactions and reconciliation of accountsAnalyzes general ledger and sub-ledger account activityReconciles balance sheet accounts and prepares related documentationPerforms research to support business partner, auditor and/or regulator inquiriesPrepares business unit level reporting packages for management reviewDevelops and maintains excellent process documentationSupports annual external audit and other regulatory requirementsExecute internal controls to ensure a SOX compliant control environmentAssists with special projects What you have To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have. Qualifications 5+ years of related accounting experienceBroker-dealer balance sheet and revenue accounting experience preferredUndergraduate degree in accounting or finance, CPA a plusSolid understanding of GAAPCurrent working experience with Forge systems and processesHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
