Manager - Accounting

About the role

The Manager – Accounting (IPA) oversees the accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful analysis. Reporting to the Director - Accounting, this role involves managing a team, reviewing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting financial planning and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Direct management and development of a team of accountants.
• Review IPA/RKK related journal entries: capitation, claims, risk pools, AR/AP, and accrual related entries.
• Review, maintain and reconcile the general ledger on a monthly basis; prepare monthly balance sheet analyses for multiple assigned entities.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close.
• Work closely with the reporting team to provide accurate and timely information for SEC filings and external auditors.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage internal and external ad-hoc requests.
• Work with external auditors to provide support as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, as well as industry-specific accounting practices related to healthcare.
• Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage, and advanced MS Office Suite skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

• Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis.
• The office is located at 1668 S Garfield Avenue, Alhambra, CA 91801.
• The national target pay range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000.
• Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
