About the role
Manage and coordinate the operations of a unit or initiative within the Center for South GA Regional Impact. This is a grant-funded, full-time position contingent upon continued availability of adequate funding. Note: VSU is not sponsoring new H-1B visa petitions at this time.
Responsibilities
- Supervision of personnel (30%): Allocate work, train, promote, enforce internal procedures, evaluate performance, and resolve personnel issues.
- Manage and participate (15%): Oversee and engage in daily unit operations.
- Implementation (15%): Develop or assist with policies, procedures, systems, and processes.
- Research trends (15%): Investigate new developments and present recommendations.
- Planning and goal setting (10%): Contribute to short- and long-range planning and goal maintenance.
- Projects and programs (10%): Develop and implement initiatives to achieve established goals.
- Department representative (5%): Attend meetings, promote programs, and represent the department.
Additional expectations include:
- Developing strategic relationships with VSU department heads and professors to promote and manage Center projects.
- Day-to-day office management, including supervision of support staff and student workers.
- Assisting in planning, researching, developing, and implementing strategies for Center projects.
- Serving as the primary liaison for the Center with client companies and engaged university staff/students.
- Attending community events to represent the Center, deliver presentations, and market its initiatives.
- Managing all Center social media platforms, including writing and posting timely updates.
- Performing other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a specified field and three (3) years of related work experience.
- Professional licensure, certification, and/or designation may be required in some areas.
Pay
$46,619 annually.
