The purpose of the program

The Management Trainee program at Smurfit Westrock aims to provide individualized development for new industry talent, focusing on career growth. It offers flexible learning across various departments within the plant.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock

• Department rotations covering: Quality, Production, Reliability, Sales/Customer Service
• To gain a comprehensive understanding of WestRock and its manufacturing processes
• Act as a team leader and project manager for analytical projects such as bottlenecking analysis, Kaizen projects, quality corrective action problem solving, etc.

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing work environments
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong leadership skills and effective communication abilities
• An interest in Manufacturing and/or Corrugated Packaging
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload
• A strong focus on safety
• Willingness to relocate
