Management Trainee

About the role

You will participate in our Operations Management Trainee Program. This is an entry-level training position consisting of a 16-week intensive program designed to prepare you for your initial leadership/supervisory role in operations.

Responsibilities

• Learn the basic principles of the transportation industry, efficient cross-dock operations, effective leadership communication, and relationship building skills under the direction of a mentor.
• Interface with appropriate Support Center and Service Center associates in the completion of various aspects of the training program daily.
• Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls.
• Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to garner an understanding of the freight delivery process on occasion.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or alternatively, have at least two years of related work experience.
• An acceptable driving history that aligns with company standards is essential.
• Be flexible with a readiness to relocate as needed.

Average Annual Starting Pay: $50,000-$60,000.
