About the Role

Astrion has a contingent opening for a Management Support Specialist supporting the U.S. Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). In this role, you will provide comprehensive training program administration, logistical facilities management, and technical platform coordination for the Workforce Development division. You will execute full-lifecycle event planning—from initial facility scheduling and classroom configuration to deploying online collaboration tools and resolving end-user software roles. As a primary point of contact, you will deliver exceptional customer service while coordinating high-impact Navy personnel events and employee development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training program support, including scheduling training, configuring classrooms, maintaining and operating audio-visual technology and classroom equipment, and printing and distributing training materials.
  • Administer facilities management for Workforce Development in support of all training and events.
  • Schedule with multiple facility partners for training and event space, ensuring logistical requests are met.
  • Set up classrooms and provide IT support for audio/visual equipment to ensure connectivity.
  • Distribute training materials and ensure training announcements are completed.
  • Use Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Waypoints Learning Management System, Total Workforce Management Services, Human Resources Port, and online reservations to support customer needs.
  • Assist customers with requests using strong customer service skills.
  • Facilitate and support online training events using online collaboration tools.
  • Establish account setups and training requirements for ERP users, ensuring proper roles and training.
  • Assist with other workforce development functions such as off-site tours and training events (e.g., SEaL to Sea, Meet the Fleet).

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of professional experience providing training program support, administrative support, and support for special projects.
  • Ability to effectively use Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Waypoints Learning Management System, Total Workforce Management Services, Human Resources Port, and online reservations.
  • Strong customer service skills to assist with customer requests.
  • Proficiency in online collaboration tools needed to facilitate and support online training events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

Pay

$85,000 to $92,000 per year.
