About the role
Petra Funds Group is a single source provider for the fund administration and fund infrastructure needs of Private Equity and Debt Funds. At Petra, we enable fund managers to focus on the tasks that add the most value to their businesses and leave the rest to us.
Key Responsibilities
- Support multiple clients with all aspects of Management Company Accounting
- Calculate and record Revenues and Expenses as appropriate
- Ensure proper allocations and process client payables for third party vendors
- Record inbound and outbound cash transactions and reconcile bank statements
- Prepare client financial statements and supporting workbooks at Management Company, Holdings, and GP levels
- Actively partner with Fund Administration teams, maintaining due to manager records and reporting
- Prepare Portfolio Company invoices for reimbursement
- Prepare annual audit & 1099 processes for clients
- Prepare closing calendars and client meeting agendas
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 3-5 years’ experience preferably at an Alternative Asset Management firm
- Solid understanding of the accounting close cycle and underlying processes including concepts around General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and T&E
- Proficient in accounting systems; prior experience with Sage Intacct a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Desire to support external clients and ability to work on multiple client engagements concurrently
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality with a strong team and firm first mentality
- Desire to learn and progress professionally

Qualifications
- Salary Range: $82,000 - $123,000 per year
