About the role

This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Program Management Office Directorate, located in Tucson, AZ.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an expert in acquisition and lifecycle logistics, developing and evaluating policies, conducting complex program analyses, and advising senior leadership on CBP wide sustainment strategies and resource decisions.
  • Lead high visibility studies, develop product support strategies, and coordinate enterprise initiatives to optimize system performance and reduce lifecycle costs.
  • Directly enhance the agency's ability to sustain critical operational capabilities and protect the homeland effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as leading the development, analysis, and implementation of lifecycle logistics or product support policies for major acquisition programs, conducting complex analyses, planning and executing enterprise level program reviews, applying PPBE processes, and serving as a technical advisor to senior leaders or program managers.

Benefits

The position starts at a salary of $128,162.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $166,615.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
