About the role

The position is open exclusively to current Dept of War (DoW) federal employees. Applicants must submit their most recent SF50 to verify eligibility. Applications without the required SF50 and other supporting documents will be considered incomplete and will not be forwarded for consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a command headquarters-level management and program analyst providing AFSC with a centralized management and direction focal point to monitor/analyze a variety of systems and procedures in the program analysis area;
  • Develop and implement local policies and procedures to improve systems;
  • Oversee and/or perform analysis and provide expertise in scheduling and planning within the Command Section;
  • Maintain surveillance over information technology and reporting systems that impact the Center;
  • Serve as the point of contact for these reports and actions taken;
  • Effectively support the Center’s logistics programs, operating programs, material programs, integrated support plans and policy guidance for the AFSC Commander, Executive Director, Deputy Commander, and Director of Staff.

Requirements

  • Obtain & maintain a security clearance
  • May be required to travel to perform temporary duty
  • May have extended/other than normal duty hours

KSA

  • Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
  • Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
  • Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
  • Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues.
  • Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
  • Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
