Job Description

Mammography Technologist-Supervisor

• Location: Manhattan & Brooklyn, NY
• Organization: New York Imaging (NYI)
• Hours: 4/10 hr shifts (7:30am - 5:30pm)

What You Will Do

• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Aid with stereotactic biopsies.
• Track inventory and manage supply orders.
• Provide courteous and professional explanations of procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce accurate, high-quality images.
• Process images and review them for proper identification and quality control.
• PRACTICE RADIATION PROTECTION TECHNIQUES TO MINIMIZE EXPOSURE TO PATIENTS AND STAFF.
• ORIENT AND TRAIN NEW HIRES.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.

What We Require

• A minimum of one year of continuous experience in Mammography.
• Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Availability to work daytime weekday hours.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
