Mammography Technologist PRN
Job Summary
As a Mammography Technologist, you will perform mammographic procedures by applying proper ionizing radiation coupled with accurate positioning, compression, and processing techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by Radiologist. You will provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. You will perform all mammography, needle localization, ductograms, and Stereotactic breast biopsy procedures. You will assist physicians and radiologists during procedures requiring sterile technique, assist in maintaining quality control program, assess patient’s condition prior to and during all procedures, practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures, maintain mammographic records and reports.
Qualifications
- One year experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by the American Medical Association
- Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Mammography (ARRT (M))
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
