Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment and performs mammography-related diagnostic procedures.
• Maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
• Promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way.
• Communicates effectively with patients about procedures and educates them on the importance of regular mammography.
• Communicates with doctors, patients, and other employees.
• Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated instructions.
• Maintains a patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography.
• ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible.
• Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT.
• High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred.
• Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location.
• Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred.
• Two years of experience in mammography is preferred.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, core, and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.
• Prior quality control experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
