Mammography Technologist PRN

About the role

The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams on patients of all ages, providing data for physicians under the supervision of a Radiologist or Manager.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in Breast and Bone Density Imaging while following departmental protocols and ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure
• Evaluate image quality, perform post-processing, and ensure proper patient identification
• Deliver patient-centered care, prioritize safety, respond appropriately to emergencies, and adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control policies
• Assist radiologists with procedures
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT-M and R certifications
• BLS certification

Skills

• Radiographic operation skills
• Communication skills
• Patient service skills
• Knowledge of mammography positioning (preferred)

Experience

• At least 2 years of diagnostic radiography experience or 1 year in breast imaging
