Mammography Technologist PRN

About the role

The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams to assist physicians with accurate diagnoses. Under the supervision of a Radiologist or Manager, responsibilities include executing imaging procedures, evaluating image quality, and ensuring proper data processing and patient identification. They provide compassionate patient care, prioritize safety, and adhere to aseptic techniques, protocols, and standards, while assisting radiologists with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Evaluate and process images accurately.
• Provide patient-centered care and respond to emergencies appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety, and aseptic protocols.
• Assist radiologists with procedures when needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-Mammography and Radiography certifications.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum two years of diagnostic radiography experience or one year in breast imaging.
• Strong communication and technical skills.
• Knowledge of mammography positioning techniques.
