Mammography Technologist PRN

About the role

We are seeking a Mammography Technologist responsible for performing screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams on patients of all ages, providing physicians with crucial diagnostic data.

Key duties

• Conducting Breast and Bone Density imaging in accordance with department protocols, ensuring image quality and proper data processing.
• Applying ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Ensuring patient safety, providing compassionate care, and responding effectively to emergency situations.
• Assisting radiologists with procedures and adhering to aseptic techniques and safety standards.
• Maintaining accurate patient identification and documentation.

Qualifications and skills

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certifications: BLS, ARRT-Mammography, and ARRT-Radiography are required upon hire.
• Minimum of 2 years in Diagnostic Radiography/X-Ray; 1 year in Breast imaging preferred.
• Ability to operate radiographic and breast imaging equipment, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
