Mammography Technologist PRN

About the role

The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams to assist physicians in diagnosis, working under the supervision of a Radiologist or Manager. Demonstrates expertise in Breast and Bone Density Imaging, adhering to protocols and minimizing patient exposure through ALARA principles.

Responsibilities

• Performs various imaging procedures, evaluates image quality, and manages data post-processing while ensuring accurate patient identification.
• Provides compassionate patient care, maintaining safety, following aseptic techniques, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
• Assists radiologists with procedures and complies with all organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiologic Technology training
• ARRT-Mammography, ARRT-Radiography certifications, and BLS certification
• Minimum two years of diagnostic radiography experience or one year in breast imaging (preferred)
