About the role
This is a Per Diem position with no set or committed hours. Coverage ensures appropriate staffing levels during planned and unforeseen absences, maintaining patient access and keeping schedules and services running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate progressive knowledge and responsibility in the daily operations of the mammography area.
- Perform routine and diagnostic mammography exams, with sufficient credits in digital mammography to operate all equipment.
- Conduct weekly quality control on mammography machines as required by the FDA and ACR.
- Perform other radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Chief Technologist.
- Pass a mammography competency before performing mammography exams and take the ARRT mammography boards within one year of starting.
- Assist in training other personnel and students as needed.
- Work weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT.
- ARRT certified and licensed or license-eligible with the State of Vermont.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology technologist with all Radiology competencies successfully completed.
