About the Role
Utilizes imaging techniques to support diagnosis and treatment, primarily performing mammography exams such as screening, diagnostic, ultrasounds, biopsies, and clip placements. Works independently with limited supervision, leads daily operations, trains staff, and ensures safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform mammography exams independently following protocols and safety procedures
- Verify patient identity and procedure details
- Provide clear instructions to patients
- Maintain equipment quality and safety standards
- Participate in ongoing education and training
- Communicate with staff and coordinate patient care
- Manage supplies and maintain a clean, functional work environment
- Train students and staff on procedures
Requirements
- Associate degree in Radiology or related field
- ARRT Radiologic Technologist and Mammography certifications
- Radiologic Technologist license or eligibility
- Minimum four years of mammography experience
- Basic Life Support certification
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking
- Lifting up to 35 lbs
- Manual dexterity and acuity to operate equipment and observe patients
- Exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases
