Per Diem - Mammography Technologist

About the role

Responsible for performing routine radiographic exams in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, and radiation safety. Utilizes a variety of specialized equipment to produce radiographic images, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient related information into hospital databases. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine radiographic exams in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Utilizes specialized equipment to produce radiographic images
• Enters patient related information into hospital databases using computers and software programs
• Contributes to the department's excellence through personal technical and interpersonal skills

Requirements

• High School diploma
• ARRT certification within twelve months of working in that modality or prior to ACR re-accreditation date
• New Jersey state licensure required
• Requires the ability to solve problems using basic specific, mathematical, or technical principles
• Requires the ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology

Pay

Salary range provided to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.
