About the Role
Responsible for performing screening mammography procedures in a high-volume outpatient setting, producing high-quality radiographic images while providing compassionate patient care. May utilize general radiography skills for diagnostic exams depending on location.
Responsibilities
- Performing mammography procedures in accordance with MQSA and FDA standards.
- Ensuring quality control and maintaining equipment standards.
- Interacting with patients to offer support and comfort during exams.
- Participating in professional development and mandatory training, including a 48-hour mammography course if required.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited radiologic technology training program.
- ARRT certification and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Registration in Radiography and Mammography within one year of hire.
- Prior general radiography experience may be required depending on location.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
