Mammography Technologist (Per Diem)

About the Role

Responsible for performing screening mammography procedures in a high-volume outpatient setting, producing high-quality radiographic images while providing compassionate patient care. May utilize general radiography skills for diagnostic exams depending on location.

Responsibilities

  • Performing mammography procedures in accordance with MQSA and FDA standards.
  • Ensuring quality control and maintaining equipment standards.
  • Interacting with patients to offer support and comfort during exams.
  • Participating in professional development and mandatory training, including a 48-hour mammography course if required.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited radiologic technology training program.
  • ARRT certification and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registration in Radiography and Mammography within one year of hire.
  • Prior general radiography experience may be required depending on location.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
