About the Role
Perform screening mammography procedures in a high-volume outpatient setting, producing high-quality images while providing compassionate patient care. Responsible for adhering to quality control standards mandated by MQSA and FDA, with potential use of general radiography skills depending on location.
Responsibilities
- Conduct screening mammograms and possibly diagnostic radiology exams.
- Ensure image quality and patient comfort.
- Perform quality control activities per regulatory standards.
- Interact empathetically with patients, supporting their breast health journey.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, ARRT registry eligible.
- Washington Radiologic Technologist certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Registration as a Mammography Technologist within 1 year of hire.
- Prior general radiography experience may be required based on location.
Preferred Experience
- At least 2 years of full-time mammography experience.
