About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist responsible for providing high-quality mammography services in accordance with physicians' orders and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Performing diagnostic mammography imaging, positioning patients comfortably, and evaluating image quality.
- Preparing and developing films, ensuring proper identification and documentation.
- Educating patients based on their age and addressing anxieties to facilitate cooperation.
- Inputting accurate patient information into computer systems and managing procedures via departmental software.
- Maintaining strict radiation safety protocols, conducting equipment checks, and adhering to regulatory standards (MQSA/ACR).
- Providing excellent customer service, communicating procedures clearly, and ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Monitoring patient conditions during procedures, responding to reactions, and assisting with first aid if needed.
- Collaborating with team members, participating in policy development, and rotating shifts and assignments as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist in Washington.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Washington state certification as Mammography Technologist and ARRT-M registration or training with two years of radiology experience.
Skills
Preferred: One year of mammography experience.
