Mammography Technologist - Part Time
About the Role
Be part of our Saint Alphonsus Mammo Team. Our Mammographers perform mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations in the diagnostic and/or screening mammography areas of Medical Imaging in both Idaho and Oregon. Responsibilities include maintaining patient and procedure documentation, ensuring equipment and instrument knowledge pertinent to high-quality exams, and providing effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Must obtain Mammography registry through ARRT within 1 year of hire.
- Active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Active driving privileges.
Responsibilities
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups.
- Performs ordered procedures according to subspecialty protocols and procedures, ensuring optimum exams are acquired in an efficient and timely manner.
- Responds to equipment failures, documenting in accordance with Department Policies and procedures.
- Keeps accurate and updated documentation of medications on inventory.
