About the role

Provide high-quality mammography services by performing diagnostic imaging in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare equipment and rooms for imaging procedures.
  • Capture precise mammographic images and develop films.
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure compliance with MQSA/ACR standards.
  • Input accurate patient data into computer systems.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Educate patients about procedures, address concerns, and promote a positive experience.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
  • Observe patient conditions during procedures; respond quickly to adverse reactions and assist with first aid if needed.
  • Maintain the radiology environment and participate in quality assurance activities.
  • Support team collaboration and adhere to safety policies, including OSHA standards and infection control measures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (WA) and Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service.
  • Washington state certification as a Mammography Technologist and AART-M registration or willingness to train with two years of radiology experience.
  • Preferred: One year of mammography experience.
