About the role
Provide high-quality mammography services by performing diagnostic imaging in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment and rooms for imaging procedures.
- Capture precise mammographic images and develop films.
- Evaluate image quality and ensure compliance with MQSA/ACR standards.
- Input accurate patient data into computer systems.
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff.
- Educate patients about procedures, address concerns, and promote a positive experience.
- Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
- Observe patient conditions during procedures; respond quickly to adverse reactions and assist with first aid if needed.
- Maintain the radiology environment and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Support team collaboration and adhere to safety policies, including OSHA standards and infection control measures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (WA) and Basic Life Support certification required.
- Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service.
- Washington state certification as a Mammography Technologist and AART-M registration or willingness to train with two years of radiology experience.
- Preferred: One year of mammography experience.
