About the Role
This position involves performing screening mammography procedures in a high-volume outpatient setting, ensuring the production of high-quality radiographic images with compassionate patient interaction. The technologist may also perform general radiology exams depending on location and is responsible for quality control activities in compliance with MQSA and FDA standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct screening mammograms and possibly diagnostic radiology exams.
- Ensure imaging quality and patient comfort.
- Perform mandated quality control activities.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilize general radiography skills as needed.
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized radiologic technology training program with ARRT registry eligibility.
- Washington Radiologic Technologist credential upon hire.
- American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire.
- ARRT Radiography registration upon hire, with Mammography registration within a year.
- Prior general radiography experience may be required depending on location.
- Preferred: 2+ years of full-time mammography experience.
