Primary Responsibilities
- Learn, observe, and assist with mammography exams on patients providing high quality images
- Absorb and assist with technical/clerical functions in related areas of mammography imaging including quality assurance and control
- Provide clear and detailed information regarding exams and care to patients
- Absorb and assist with appropriate documentation and obtaining interpretation for each exam
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols in order to minimize exposure to patient and staff
- Manage patient priority and act as a first responder when needed
- Absorb and assist with general X-Ray as needed
Requirements
- Currently hold ARRT (R) certification OR be able to obtain before start date
- Complete Mammography didactic courses separately
- Be willing and able to obtain ARRT (M) registry within 45 days after completion of cross-training program
- Hold current BLS/CPR certification
- Commit to 12 month full-time employment post cross-training
- Be reliable and professional technologist
- Be able to read, write, and speak in English
Outcomes
- Upon completion of training and ARRT (M) registry, eligible to apply for any full time ISJ Mammography opportunity
- Potential to learn further breast imaging services
Pay and Benefits
- Base compensation range: $26.00 to $34.50 per hour
- Additional 10% of base wage during Mammography training hours
