Mammography Technologist - Breast Center

About the role

We are seeking a Per Diem Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging procedures in a state-of-the-art environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mammograms to ACR standards and adapt views as needed
• Assist radiologists with specialized breast imaging procedures
• Maintain knowledge of mammography equipment
• Provide compassionate patient care and physically assist patients during procedures
• Ensure radiation safety
• Respond to patient and department inquiries
• Foster positive team relationships within a supportive community setting

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited 2-year Radiologic Technology Program
• Active NYS Radiologic Technologist License
• Current ARRT Mammography Certification and registration
• Current BLS Certification
• 40 hours of initial digital mammography training
• 15 CMEs in the last 36 months
• Documentation of 200 mammograms in the past 24 months

• Perform mammograms per ACR standards

• Physically assist patients during procedures
• Maintain knowledge of mammography equipment
• Build collaborative relationships and respond effectively to inquiries
