About the Role

As a Mammography Technologist at Solis Mammography, you will operate x-ray equipment and perform a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures while maintaining a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, promote, and demonstrate the Solis Way.
  • Effectively communicate procedures to patients and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health.
  • Communicate on an individual and small group basis with doctors, patients, and other employees.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated written or oral instructions.
  • Maintain a patient-first focus and exhibit outstanding customer service skills.
  • Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
  • Perform diagnostic or screening mammograms as ordered.
  • Prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
  • Complete patient education regarding the exam.
  • Adhere to radiation safety measures under the supervision of the Radiology supervisor or the Radiologist.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • One-year full-time experience as a Mammography Technologist with documentation of clinical experience and 3D required.
  • Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
  • Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification.
  • MQSA/FDA: 15 CEUs every 3 years and 200 documented case numbers every 2 years.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of database software, eRad, Sectra RIS/PACS software.
  • Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies.

Pay

Compensation range: $36.00 to $47.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
