Mammography Technologist

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate mammography techniques and positions to ensure optimal film quality.
• Operate advanced mammography equipment, maintain supplies, and ensure safety standards.
• Prepare exam rooms, record patient history, and secure patient safety with proper shielding.
• Maintain patient records, label and review films, and perform quality control per guidelines.
• Assist in problem-solving artifacts, ensure film quality, and support team operations.
• Adhere to safety protocols, participate in professional development, and maintain certifications.
• Provide excellent patient care, communicate effectively, and uphold department procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Technology program with 3+ years of radiography experience.
• Licensed in Radiographic Technology, ARRT registered in radiography and mammography.
• Current CPR certification and knowledge of health information systems.
• Strong communication skills, ability to anticipate needs, and attention to safety and quality.
