Mammography Technician Days

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. Responsibilities

• Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
• 2-year Associates degree in Radiologic Technology
• Vocational/technical education
• ARRT Mammography Certification: R.T. (M)
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography
• Minimum of 6 months current/recent experience as a Mammographer (hospital or outpatient setting)
• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
