Mammography Technician

Role Overview

The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams, providing data for physicians under the supervision of a Radiologist or Manager.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in Breast and Bone Density Imaging, adhering to protocols and minimizing exposure using ALARA principles.
• Conduct exams, evaluate image quality, and ensure proper data processing and patient identification.
• Deliver patient-centered care, prioritize safety, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Must have an accredited Radiologic Technology education.
• Valid ARRT-Mammography, ARRT-Radiography, and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years in Diagnostic Radiography/X-Ray experience.
• 1 year in Breast imaging preferred.

Skills

• Operating radiographic equipment.

• Knowledge of mammography positioning and breast imaging units preferred.

Schedule

Full-time position with Monday-Friday day shifts.
